To ensure a smooth assembly, please review these tips and common queries before you begin.
- Review the specific technical drawing for your pergola model to confirm the exact dimensions will fit your intended space. For example, a standard 4m x 5m freestanding model has an actual footprint of 3980mm x 4880mm.
All electric parts should be tested before installation. Connect LEDs, motor and heater to the control box and program with the remote to ensure functionality.
Cross check the pergola model in the order to ensure it matches the assembly instructions that you are following.
- When identifying components for each assembly step, please refer only to the letters printed on the hardware bags. The numerical part numbers are for manufacturing use only and should be disregarded during installation.
- Be careful when installing screws in the gutter corners to ensure they do not ‘nick’ the LED cabling.
- Make sure the LED strips face the correct way as shown below
- Cable Reach: The heater cable is 3 meters long. Consider this distance when deciding where to position the heater relative to the control box.
- Heater Installation: For the Pergolux Pergola model, there is only one track along the gutter to fit either the heater or the LEDs. If you have LED lights installed, the heater should be mounted by drilling screws directly into the gutter or by using the included wall mount bracket.
- Motor Positioning: Image #1: For both the Pergola and Sundream models, it is important to keep the connecting piece level with the motor. Images #2 and #3 relate to the Sundream model. These show the approx measurements on either side of the bracket/clamp, it does not need to be exact but be close to these measurements.
- Pairing the motor to the control box: The motor should be programmed in the same way as the LED lights and heater. Press the UP button not the STOP button as shown on the instructions. The instructions shown are only in the event that the louvers are opening in reverse.
- The Skydance model is the same as indicated in the instructions.
-
Final Louver Assembly: To install the final louver, the last two louvers should not be set into the notch on the beam opposite the motor. Instead, angle them at 90 degrees and slide them to the right to make room. Once the last louvre is in, slide all three back to the left to clip them into place at the same time.
- Ensure that the pergola is square (all posts measure the same distance between - the top, middle and bottom) especially if you have a screen or glass, or intend to purchase one at a later date.
